EARTH, FIRE AND ICE
By Kay Brown
Prints, Woodcuts, Monoprints, and Acrylics
Kay Brown, a member of the Arroyo Arts Collective since her return to Los Angeles in 2000, gives homage to the forests where she grew up. Recent California fires inspire a series of images made with monoprint impressions, woodcuts portray the crisped remnants, and a portion of “Gaza 2014” presents the results of fire inspired by careless leadership.
