Please join us on Saturday, April 30 from 2-4 pm for a discussion with artists Gustavo Leclerc, Barbara Jones and Raoul De La Sota whose current exhibitions, Eros Reconsidered and Earth Sky grace our galleries. Our artist discussion will be moderated by Yreina Cervantez, artist and professor of Chicana/o Studies at Cal State University, Northridge. 

Fabric is traditionally a woman's medium. Interestingly, both exhibitions are produced by two men (and Barbara Jones) who have gravitated towards the fabric arts in a charmingly traditional manner.  Leclerc and Jone's imagery is pure Chicano, while De la Sota's current obsession with fabric collages gives us a visual play of both abstraction (as you stand close) and realism (as you stand back).  A wonderful play with the eye's mind.
