Artists at the Round Table for INDIGENOUS ROOTS

On January 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm, Avenue 50 Studio will present it’s first Artists-In-Discussion event. Artists from the Indigenous Roots exhibition will sit for a round table exploration on questions of cultural histories and how those histories contrast, and sometimes collide, with commonly held notions seen in the mainstream art world. Moderated by Raoul De la Sota, artists Ferril Nawir, CCH Pounder, Raul Herrera, Mark Vallen, Andres Montoya, Yrneh Brown, Lawrence Garcia, Cindy Suriani, Armando Baeza, and Katsu Yokoyama will discuss their work in relation to contemporary Los Angeles art.
