Taking inspiration from Sam Cook’s song, “A Change is Gonna Come” Avenue 50 Studio is proud to present an exhibition that speaks to visions of 2017 (or beyond). The end of the year is usually the time we reflect on the past and envision the future. Since it’s a time when seers predict our future; when reporters recount the previous year and forecast what the new year may bring, the Avenue 50 asked artists to imagine the future. “Change is Gonna Come” is a political exhibition, a spiritual exhibition, and a practical day-to-day exhibition. What changes will be seen in 2017: more of the same, calamity, hope and dreams of a better 2017? This exhibition considers the future.
Opening exhibit, December 10th, 2016 from 7pm-10pm.
