7 Los Angeles-based poets and 7 Los Angeles-based artists created over 25 original, collaborative works using writing, drawing, and printmaking. The unique and collaborative works were created at the Cerritos College Fine Art complex in Norwalk, CA during the annual summer Cerritos College Printmaking Residency. The project began with prompts from each poet, which were each chosen by artist to visually interpret. After initial responses were created, the poets responded again and the process was repeated. Over the course of 4 weeks, poets and artists shared their processes, translated each other’s ideas, and produced experimental works.
Curated by (writer/activist) Jessica Ceballos y Campbell and (artist/professor) Sergio Teran.
