ABOUT:

“I had two agendas creating this body of work. First of all, I wanted to showcase little pieces of NELA. This work shows just ordinary life in our area with ordinary people, and ordinary landscapes during these extraordinary times. My second agenda is that I wanted to make affordable artwork. I’m a big believer in having original pieces in your home but I know that sometimes it is nearly impossible to justify spending big dollars when times are tough. Heck, even when times aren’t as tough, it’s difficult. All the pieces in this show are less than $200, with many being in the $150 price range. I hope that this helps bring color into homes and inspires others to share their work with those truly in need of beauty.” -Natalie Fratino

About Natalie Fratino:
“The very first thing I ever wanted to be as a child was an artist. The great need to express with my hands never stopped calling. And although I have studied and tried many disciplines, my heart belongs to oil painting.

My work is an intersection between the vibrational and grounded worlds. With use of color, my great love, I try to make my work, especially of figures, shudder with life and spirit. It is important to me that my paintings are fun, thoughtful and generally joyous even when working with subject matter that might be considered heavy. I’m inspired by everyday objects, everyday people and everyday life.

I have had many opportunities to share my artwork: as a finalist in the Chautauqua fine arts show, solo exhibits at Ave 50 Studio, Finster Studio and Frogtown Artwalk, work shown at the. Neutra Studio, MOLA and OCCCA. I’ve done many commissioned pieces for people all over the nation.”
