What is Thread Painting?

Thread painting, or free- motion machine embroidery, is a unique way of embellishing your quilts by “painting” the images on your quilt top. The quilt top is your canvas and the thread your painting.

In this workshop students will be introduced to two thread painting techniques, only using a straight and zigzag stitch to create amazing thread painted designs. A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF SEWING  IS  REQUIRED. Simple deigns have been selected to boost your confidence right away.
