Immigration 101: Artists Speak Out

A Group Show

Curated by Kathy Gallegos

Why do people immigrate? Some because of economics: they don’t have opportunities for their families. Some because of war or violence: they’re escaping a dangerous place. Some because of famine. Some because they want a better life. Some migrate because they can’t live in their land anymore because of natural disasters not driven by a war, but by a hurricane, earthquake or flooding. We need to hear the plight of the immigrant. We need to hear their voices.
