Introduction to Bookbinding

   

Artist Cidne Hart will offer an Introduction to Bookbinding workshop in the new Community Space at Avenue 50 Studio.

The cost is $30 which includes materials

Each student will make a book using Japanese stab binding, and will also be introduced to three other more ornate stab binding patterns. Participants will also make 4-hole and 5-hole pamphlet-style booklets. Japanese stab bindings are simple and fun to make, and are great for journals, sketchbooks, scrapbooks, and guest books.

Plenty of blank paper and binding thread will be readily available, but students are encouraged to bring their own artwork or pages of text to bind.

Please register early as there is limited seating for ten people only. A waiting list for possible additional classes will be created if demand is high.
