Gemma Lopez is a lens based artist currently living and working in Los Angeles, CA. She received her B.A. in Architecture from Woodbury University, her Post-Baccalaureate in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute, and earned an MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
In her work, Gemma uses photography and video to analyze, deconstruct, and reinterpret urban and architectural environments in order to portray the multilayered experience of occupied space and the way these qualities animate an architectural setting.
