Mysterious and whimsical, the exhibit Mermaid AVE at the Blue Wall Alcove at Avenue 50 Studio, brings together an array of artists who speak mermish and express it through their pieces. Artwork ranges from oil on canvas to photography and fiber. Submerge with the merfolk and find the one that sings your song on Mermaid AVE.

“I once worked at a magical place called Tipi Camp in British Columbia, Canada, it was located near the tip of a peninsula. Many nights I swam alone in the lake floating on my back under a trillion stars and layers of tall green trees from the shore to the top of the mountains. Under the full moon in the water, I felt pure magic, unreal and dreamy. I began painting mermaids when I left that magical place. Mermaids hold a strong emotional bond within my heart.  They express freedom, movement, magic, femininity and independence.” Mermaid AVE Artist La Linda Estrada
