Claudia Rodriguez’s debut collection of poetry Everybody’s Bread (Kórima Press), is as much a welcoming as it is an introduction to her voice, her counter narratives of Compton, the love for mother, scars of poverty and the freedom she finds in expressing her sex, sensuality and love.

Claudia Rodríguez, is a writer/performer from Compton. Her work has appeared in Mexican American Baseball in the Pomona Valley, Baby Remember My Name: An Anthology of New Queer Girl Writing. Edited by Michelle Tea, Chicana/Latina Studies: the journal of MALCS Fall 2004 Issue. She is a founding member of Butchlalis de Panochtitlan (BdP) is a sketch-driven performance/ installation/video ensemble. Most recently, Claudia received an “Artists in Residence Grant” from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs.

Built on the Rarámuri tradition of sharing, Kórima Press is an independent publisher committed to Queer Ch/Xicana and Ch/Xicano literary art.
